Riccardo Berlingeri was born in Italy and he worked there for many years as a stage and costume designer and as a restorer for antique sculptures and wall paintings. Since moving to the USA in 1997,Riccardo has been teaching Art Studio and Art History in grammar and high schools in New York City. Recently Riccardo initiated the exploration of paper sculpture made from recycled newspapers as a response to his environmental concern and to his discomfort with current cultural models.
